On July 10 and 11, 2025, the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS) participated in the VI Central American Forum on Financial Inclusion titled “From Inclusion to Sustainability: Triple Impact Finance and More Equitable Markets”, held in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The event was organized by UN Women and served as a multi-stakeholder dialogue space for action-oriented proposals aimed at strengthening equitable access to financial products and services. It brought together representatives from the financial ecosystems of the Northern Triangle (Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador).

The forum aimed to establish a platform for knowledge building, experience sharing, and network strengthening, promoting strategic dialogue focused on the evolution of financial inclusion toward sustainable finance. Throughout the event, participants shared best practices and progress in policy design that promotes equitable access to financial products and services, especially for women and vulnerable groups. The forum also fostered learning through case study analysis, dissemination of specialized knowledge, and reflection on lessons learned across the region.

Representing CNBS, Ms. Cecilia Hernández, Financial Education Specialist, participated as moderator in the panel on “Digital Innovation”, which explored regulatory models and Fintech development to promote inclusive digital transformation.

Through participation in events like this, CNBS reaffirms its institutional commitment to financial inclusion as a key tool for achieving triple impact transformation—economic, social, and environmental—within the Honduran financial ecosystem.
