The National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, by its Spanish acronym) received a notable recognition from the Secretariat of State in the Women’s Offices (SEMUJER), becoming one of the 80 institutions recognized nationwide for its commitment to gender investment and for responsible management in budget allocation and execution with a focus on equality.
This recognition highlights the institutional effort of the CNBS in incorporating a gender perspective into its management, directing its actions to close the gaps between women and men, in line with the principles of substantive equality, justice, and transparency established in the National Policy for Women and the National Plan against Violence towards Women.

The award ceremony was held on Friday, October 17, 2025, under the direction of the Minister, MSc. Doris Garc铆a, who highlighted the importance of the institutional commitment to gender equality as a fundamental pillar for the country’s sustainable development.
On behalf of the CNBS, Engineer Fernando Gonz谩lez received the recognition, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to continue strengthening policies and practices that promote equal opportunities and inclusion at all levels.
The CNBS thanks the Secretariat of State in the Offices of the Woman (SEMUJER) for this valuable recognition, which reflects the sustained work of this institution in favor of mainstreaming the gender approach in the financial and regulatory sector, actively contributing to the construction of a more just, equitable, and violence-free society.
