The CNBS promotes financial inclusion and innovation at Fintech Day Honduras 2025
14 de October de 2025The Government of the President of the Republic, Xiomara Castro, through the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS), with the support of UN Women and the Central American Technological University (UNITEC), launched the Diploma in Financial Inclusion with a Gender Approach on September 23 and 24, 2025.

This initiative aims to strengthen institutional capacities to promote a more inclusive, innovative, and gender-sensitive financial system; a goal that seeks to be achieved through the participation of 50 representatives from institutions supervised by the CNBS, including Commercial and State Banks, Financial Corporations, Private Financial Development Organizations, Insurance Institutions, and the Fintech sector.

The diploma program is framed within the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) Honduras 2025–2030, reaffirming the commitment to gender equity and the promotion of access to and use of financial products and services in the country.
