The CNBS and UN Women hold a meeting of actors from the financial ecosystem within the framework of the NFIS Honduras 2025-2030
6 de May de 2026The National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, by its Spanish acronym) received a visit from representatives of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion, led by Alfred Hannig, along with Zaira Badillo, Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Paula Ricaurte, Senior Manager of the CEO’s Office.
During the meeting, the main advances in financial inclusion in Honduras were shared, highlighting the actions promoted to expand access to and use of formal financial services. Likewise, the commitment of the CNBS to the country’s economic and social development was reaffirmed, promoting broader and more effective financial inclusion.
The meeting also allowed for the exchange of perspectives on current challenges and opportunities to continue advancing on this agenda. Additionally, the valuable technical and strategic support of AFI was highlighted, which has contributed to institutional strengthening, the exchange of international best practices, and the implementation of innovative and sustainable initiatives.
