The Government of the President of the Republic, Xiomara Castro, through the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS), with the support of UN Women and the Central American Technological University (UNITEC), launched the Diploma in Financial Inclusion with a Gender Approach on September 23 and 24, 2025

On September 18 and 19, 2025, the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, for its acronym in Spanish) participated in the 44th Latin American Congress of Financial Law (COLADE 2025), held in the city of San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras. This event was organized by the Honduran Association of Banking Institutions (AHIBA), together with the Latin American Federation of Banks (FELABAN).

The National Commission of Banks and Insurance has been selected among the five finalists for the Institutional Leadership Award in Financial Inclusion, granted by the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), a global network bringing together institutions from more than 84 countries.
