La The National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, for its acronym in Spanish), with the support of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), on April 16, 2026, held a special meeting of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) Honduras 2025-2030.

The National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, for its acronym in Spanish), within the framework of its commitment to promoting a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable financial system through the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (ENIF) Honduras 2025-2030, held a working session together with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women).

The National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS), with the support of UN Women and the Central American Technological University (UNITEC), held on Monday, November 24, 2025, the closing ceremony of the first Diploma in Financial Inclusion with a Gender Approach in Honduras, aimed at Supervised Institutions and the Fintech sector, with the goal of strengthening the capacities of financial ecosystem personnel and promoting greater financial inclusion.

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, by its Spanish acronym) held the launch of the Gender Gap Report in the Honduran Financial System 2025. This seventh edition of the report reflects the sustained institutional commitment to incorporating a gender perspective in analysis and supervision processes, contributing to a more equitable and sustainable financial intermediation.

The National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, by its Spanish acronym) received a notable recognition from the Secretariat of State in the Women's Offices (SEMUJER), becoming one of the 80 institutions recognized nationwide for its commitment to gender investment and for responsible management in budget allocation and execution with a focus on equality.

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, by its Spanish acronym) participated in Fintech Day Honduras 2025, organized by the Fintech Association of Honduras, with the aim of promoting the modernization of the national financial system through technological innovation and fostering dialogue between regulators and the Fintech ecosystem.

On September 18 and 19, 2025, the National Commission of Banks and Insurance (CNBS, for its acronym in Spanish) participated in the 44th Latin American Congress of Financial Law (COLADE 2025), held in the city of San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras. This event was organized by the Honduran Association of Banking Institutions (AHIBA), together with the Latin American Federation of Banks (FELABAN).
